Jackie Houchin on ValleyNews.com says of the new anthology,
LAndmarked
for Murder and my contribution, "Running Venice," in
particular:
"
LAndmarked for Murder
is a wonderful collection of ten short
stories...each containing murder, malice or mayhem at some very
well-known Los Angeles landmarks."
"'Running Venice' is a non-stop,
heart-pounding, terror-inspiring thriller."
"
LAndmarked for Murder
is the best of the Sisters in Crime/LA
anthologies so far...You will have a hard time putting this one
down!"

There’s Michael
Mallory in his fedora. Sue Ann Jaffarian and Morgan St.
James looking like grand dames. Christa Faust looking sexy and
dangerous. And then, well, there’s me.
LAndmarked for Murder Launch Party
The anthology got its official send-off October 21, 2006 at the Mystery
Bookstore in Westwood, CA. They were fantastic hosts. And when we left,
the
place was still standing and nearly an entire case of books were sold,
so I
hope that means we were good guests. Enormous thanks are due to the
staff,
Sisters in Crime/Los Angeles and our friends, family and readers who
kept
the noise level up and the champagne flowing.
The anthology authors and
one of our esteemed editors (Mike in the hat) stop
mid-party to preserve the moment for posterity. (You'll find me in the
back
row, far left.).
Did somebody say,
"champagne?" My good friend, Cheryl Van Buskirk, (right)
is a post-doc researcher at Cal Tech and the inspiration for a
character's
job in my just-finished novel, Gone-Away Girls..
Let them eat cake! Let
them eat cake with the book cover printed in edible
ink! Isn't technology cool?.
Party-goers pack the
store to the rafters. Fire code violation? Maybe. Fun?
You bet your @$%..
